University of Michigan Professor Julian Davis Mortenson, who joined with ACLU counsel in the Caspar v. Snyder case involving the rights of individuals who were married after Judge Friedman’s ruling in Deboer v. Snyder, but whose marriages the state refused to recognize.

EEOC attorney Miles Shultz, who works on LGBTQ cases with the EEOC and is currently litigating EEOC v. R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Homes, a case in which the EEOC brought a Title VII discrimination claim on behalf of a transgender woman fired from her job at a funeral home.
