Diminished-capacity defense; People v Madison

In an order in lieu of granting leave to appeal, the court vacated the part of the Court of Appeals judgment (see eJournal # 84467 in the 10/14/25 edition) addressing the diminished capacity defense, and remanded the case to the Court of Appeals for reconsideration in light of the court’s decision in Madison. It denied leave to appeal in all other respects because it was not persuaded that it should review the remaining question presented.
